Complete Home Evaluation

Your home is a complex configuration of elements which all work together to provide you comfort. When any one of these elements are out of balance with the rest of your home, problems result. The problems can include miserable hot spots, sticky and wet air, mold, excessive dust, allergy symptoms, carbon monoxide poisoning, super high energy bills, and the list goes on.

When you are installing a new system in your home, you have the opportunity to bring all the elements in your air conditioning system into proper balance and end up with a home you really enjoy living in. That is where Jon Wayne excels. We use state of the art technology to determine precisely what your home actually needs, not just put in the same size unit that you had before. Guess work won't cut it when it's your money and comfort that is on the line.

We use the Whole House Approach to determine what is wrong with your home. A lot of times the problem is related to faulty duct work, poor insulation, improperly sized equipment, etc. The only way to know for sure is to do a Complete Home Evaluation.

A Complete Home Evaluation usually consists of a series of tests and inspections to determine the exact cause.

Here are a few of the methods we use:
Blower Door Test - This test is one of the most effective ways to isolate problem areas in your home. Using vacuum, the test puts an artificial pressure on your home, causing leaks and air flow problems to be more easily detected. Once the test is complete, our analysis will provide us with a measurement of how much outside air is leaking into your home. We can also detect problems with improperly sized ducts and poor circulation. This test is invaluable in determining the source of heating/cooling problems you may be having.

Thermal Imaging - If you are experiencing problems with hot spots in your home, thermal imaging devices can allow us to see beyond the sheetrock and locate areas in your walls or attic which are not properly insulated.

Flow Hoods - These devices measure the volume of air flow coming out of the A/C vents on your walls and ceilings. With that information we can determine if your ducts are properly configured to move air evenly through out your home.

If you are experiencing some of the symptoms described above or just want to make sure your home is operating at peak efficiency, we are ready to help.
