Every home needs proper ventilation for healthy indoor air quality. A certain amount of air exchanges per hour is necessary to flush impurities out and keep fresh air coming in. According to the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers, for every person that lives in your home, there should be 0.35 changes in air each hour. Over the last half-century, the average San Antonio-area home has become extremely well built. This is advantageous in many ways, but there is at least one unfortunate side effect: our modern homes are often poorly ventilated.
